It was another fruitful evening at King David Academy
when Mindlab Inc launched its mentor-ship club called Mindlab Leaders Of Today.
The evening started on smoothly with a Christian Rap song by Neffex called
Destiny before the CEO and founder of Mindlab Dr. RWAKISETA Herbert addressed
the students.
He commenced by thanking the administration of King
David for having given him and seen the need for MLOT club to be established in
the school. He further used his personal story to explain why every student
needs to have a clear road map to what they wish to achieve in life coupled
with a very high level of discipline. He explained that for one to become
successful, they need to have internal self- discipline. However, much as the
world imposes external discipline one cannot change without self-mastery and
control.

From the song Destiny, Dr Rwakiseta used the chorus to
explain to the students that nobody should impose their dreams plans and vision
onto them. They should work hard to manifest the seed that God planted into
each one to benefit human life. He went further and explained that their
success is based on the choices they have to make each and every day together
with self-belief self-worth and self-esteem. Education only refines what they
already have in them through turning knowledge or information into activities
or events that benefit those around them. He gave the students a blue print
based on Exodus 17:14 on how and why
they should write down their goals and encouraged them to always journal as a
means of recording measuring their progress in life and keep track of their
thoughts and ideas.

The students were also given techniques on how to read
and memories with comprehension. Dr. RWAKISETA encouraged the students to
always
i-
Plane their next
day before going to sleep, know what and specifically what to read the next
day, be grateful first thing when they get us and last thing everyday before
bed time,
ii-
Revise with
intention of discussing for other students because “teachers learn twice” this will help them read with focused
attention,
iii-
To always take
breaks, do body stretch and jumping jugs to allow free floor of oxygen to the
brain which is the storage faculty.
iv-
To always have
time to think about their life and contemplate on what they have read, he based
this on Jesus who always left his disciples and went in solitude to master his
life.
v-
The students were
also taught how to use pictures to read connect and memories a method known as “mind palace” that was used by ancient
Greek. Dr. Rwakiseta demonstrated this technique to recite the first 15
elements of the periodic table. This got the students exited and surprised.
The evening was concluded by a
brief story that lead to the introduction of MLOT among youth and how it has
also resulted in transformation of many youth that are members today, among
which have become artists poets, motivational speakers presenters and others
starting their own clubs.
